4.3 Contract Review

Review the Agreement of Sale

Establish a procedure for reviewing the agreement of sale and any other contracts with the customer. This review must ensure that the customer requirements are defined and documented sufficiently to allow production, installation and maintenance of the products and services your customer expects to receive from you. Review these agreements to verify that you are capable of providing what has been contracted for. Keep records of these contract reviews.

Discussion:

The term "contract review" refers to an examination of the agreement of sale, purchase orders, or any more formal contract between you and your customer. The intent here is "no surprises" to either your customer or the people in your company who must carry out the work of the contract through to delivery, installation and servicing of the product.
